ICM explorations
ICM is short for Intentional Camera Movement, a photography technique where you purposely drag the camera up, down, or in any direction to achieve a blurry effect. For the motion to be registered, the exposure must be extended, so you need to use an ND (neutral density) filter to do this in broad daylight without getting an overexposed image. The ND filter is basically a dark glass that reduces the amount of light entering the lens and allows for very long exposures without modifying colors.
The photos below were taken in Rzeszów, Poland, with a Fuji XT20, a 10-stop ND filter, and an average 1-second exposure. To achieve the painting-like feel, grainy texture, and different color palettes, I edited the images using a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop,
